πŸ“‚Organizing your Versions

From the first track you put down, to the one ready for release, you've got way too many versions to keep track of. Crate has two awesome organization tools to help you keep track of your tracks. πŸ—‚οΈ

For each version in your library, you can set a Version Title and add Version Notes.

First, open the Version you would like to edit.

Next, select edit the Version Title.

Expert Tip πŸ€“

Helpful version titles might look like:

  • "Demo 1"

  • "Mix 1"

  • "Mix 2 - Drums Up"

Adding brief details like "Drums Up" is an easy way to remember what's changed between versions without going into your Version Notepad.

Add Version Notes.

Expert Tip πŸ€“

Notes are personal and can take so many different shapes depending on your needs, but here are a couple useful examples of what your notes might include:

  • Details on specific changes made: "No bass"

  • Changes you want to make to the next version: "Needs harmonies - Verse 2"

  • #tags so you can find a Version even quicker in Search

  • Credits of newly added people to your song

  • Silly jokes to keep it interesting (just kidding... or not?) πŸ˜†

Then, click Save.

Happy Organizing! πŸ€—
